Welcome to my wonderful world of handmade lampwork beads and handcrafted jewellery .

I enjoy making handmade beads that are not mass produced and have that original feel and look. As my beads are not mass produced not every bead is the same and can vary ever so slightly . This is why I feel excitement each time I melt glass as each time is like the first time. Any imperfections are stated in my descriptions so buyer please be aware .

Enjoy looking at my beads.
It is our imagination that lets us create these wonderful designs.

Voila`

Here they are all made up ready for homes.

I am already thinking about making more of theses babies in different colours just to get the practice time in.

This I have made ready for a pressie for there birthday. They are not the bead wearing kind, that's why plain just to get them hooked. I have put gemstones with the bracelet as well as the beads I made yesterday.

Another fine I mean wet day

I put the washing out and yes it rains all day yesterday.

Right I made this lentil on a post before after the last Ashes to Ashes. I have made it into a necklace , the photo is rubbish but it is supposed to be red and black not so light because of the sun.

Tequila Sunrise Necklace after the the film.

As it was raining I went into the Tardis for the day. 5 hours later this is what I had made.

Hope you like.

Loving It

Who said Dogs and Cats cannot get on.

Plus some others I made a while ago , putting them on wire to see what effect it gives.

The smaller ones are about the right size for earrings .

I do hope I am improving

I enjoy this so much, I do hope it shows. I do hope there is a little improvement.

Apart from the lentil I made these other beads last night whilst England were playing.
I have decided to stick to colours so that I can start making sets and last night I stuck to one or two different types then some plain spacer beads to match.

My gravity is really slight now it just happens to show in one little part rather than a whole side. And my belly button holes are consistent. ( Famous last words )

I also put my other two attempts at hearts on keyrings. So firm bottoms anyone !!!

We have not had the weather most of you if not all have had down South . Back to a north wind so cold and I am sure that will bring the ash back.

The fog has lifted

So the weekend fog has lifted and the wind is back. The girls have had their walk around the Loch or swim I should say , the husband is putting in the ventilation fan so to stop me getting high as a kite and stop the seasick feeling.

These are continuing what I made on Saturday.

How do you like as my husband put it last night. "It looks like an arse on chain ". My suppose to be a heart placed on a chain to see if it was up to standard.

The more I look at it, the more I think " I want an arse like that , nice and firm " Not jelly on a plate bum. Which is what I have been blessed with.

1980's here we come

Green frit with bright colours for the 80's look was also on the list yesterday. I started at around 11.45 am and came out of the tardis around 5 ish just in time for tea !!!!

So my third attempt at a lentil with Ashes to Ashes still on my mind yesterday

This was my final attempt yesterday at a lentil , it took nearly 45 mins ( and the rest ) to get it to this . I am actually very proud with this baby.

Hearts Away

Well this is not a heart but I used some orange yesterday because in 1986 I had a bright orange skirt that was not suitable for my arse that I loved and in honour of Ashes to Ashes I had a Eighties colour day This was my first attempt at a heart.

My second attempt looks more like a firm arse, so not mine then.

And this was my third attempt yesterday.

Doing hearts is not easy , so I have full on respect for those that can do them to perfection .

My first set

Inspired by Julie from Lush Lampwork and her coastal focals . I attempted just 2 colours and kept them plain to practise with. I spent all day Thursday with my new oxycon called Jon. Well that's what Tuffnell's have named it.

This is my second lentil that I have done on my own not perfect but for a second attempt I do not think it is too bad. Not for the bin anyway.

I have put Silver in 3 of the beads to see how they turned out and to practise more than anything.

Really pleased with these I hope to improve with more time on the torch.

Still nice and clean

So I am showing I still have a clean workspace. Very anal I know but every time I finish a session although not very many that was until yesterday when my new oxycon arrived. So yes I was in there all day yesterday playing with blue and ivory ( seaside colours ) . I clean up m workspace ready for the next.

Here was the remnants of yesterdays sea mist ( fog ) . We have it again today.

Sunset at 10.30 at night

Here was our sunset last night, it was around 10.30 ish , a lovely calm evening so I just had to show you these.

I would have taken a picture of this morning around 3am as I was woken by sunlight again, yes yes I had forgotten to close the curtains again. It was as bright as 7am on mainland UK . That's how bright 3am is at the moment.

6 Spacer Beads

I managed 6 spacer beads last night before oxycon packed up and left me high and dry, so practice is not going anywhere at the moment.

These were made from black / silver Reichenbach they come out like an oil slick all shiny, I shall be trying more of these.

I did try some focals but every time I got to the part where you had to mash them , the dogs barked , I jumped and mashed too hard, so I am not showing them but I will try the colours again they were seaside colours , they looked very pretty.

Sunbathing Weather

Our Hens have been sunbathing today , the brown one ( chicken pox ) we have noticed cuddles into the white one ( candy floss ). We have very happy hens, they have the whole of the front garden to roam free and the croft land past that.

Tilley and Holly making the most of the sunshine

Finally a picture of Bella considering she never stays still.

Holly again who loves to have her picture taken again and again and again.

White Lush Puppy

Another fantastic focal from Lush Lampwork. As soon as I saw it I knew it would have my name on it. Lush Lush Lush.

Shetland at 2.30 this morning and then today

I was awake at 2.30 this morning because I had fallen asleep with the curtains open, So I took a picture of our view. It looks darker on the photo because I could not use the flash otherwise you would have got a pic of the window , I tried it.

However you could actually take the dogs out for a walk in this and in a months time it will be even lighter even earlier. Last year I walked home at 1.30 am and it was like 6pm in the evening.

This is what weather we have today , this was taken at 9.30 this morning after I had taken the girls around the Loch for their walk.

So again our view and yes I know although I have days of feeling rotten and homesick. I would never have a view like this ( could not afford it on the mainland of United Kingdom ). It is amazing on days like this when there is NO WIND . Ahhhhh no wind or rain or snow for that matter , bliss.

My Silly Heart

Not alot to say except I love hearts I have a soft spot for them, this is from Lush Lampwork , I just would have them all if I could.

I am feeling ill and I wanna go home , really at the moment I just wanna go home , the weather is fine up here and nothing has happened but the urge of being Homesick has reared it's head and I wanna go back South, but then again ask me again in a week and it might be a different story. Who Knows !!!

My best to date I think

So these are the beads that I showed you on one of the other posts, I made them up this afternoon.

Rightly called Ocean Earrings after the glass.

Lila Earrings after the Oasis song title or was it Lola either way I have that song in my head so that's what they are being called

Pastel Or Dollys

I have been trying the Bullseye Glass & these are the results from the colours I chose.

It seemed a softer glass to work and I actually enjoyed work with this type of glass.

A casual piece to wear , something to brighten up those days. especially when we have summer skies up here , but the wind is up and you know it will not be as warm as you have imagined once you step outside into the great outdoors.
