Sunset at 10.30 at night

Here was our sunset last night, it was around 10.30 ish , a lovely calm evening so I just had to show you these.

I would have taken a picture of this morning around 3am as I was woken by sunlight again, yes yes I had forgotten to close the curtains again. It was as bright as 7am on mainland UK . That's how bright 3am is at the moment.

Sunbathing Weather

Our Hens have been sunbathing today , the brown one ( chicken pox ) we have noticed cuddles into the white one ( candy floss ). We have very happy hens, they have the whole of the front garden to roam free and the croft land past that.

Shetland at 2.30 this morning and then today

I was awake at 2.30 this morning because I had fallen asleep with the curtains open, So I took a picture of our view. It looks darker on the photo because I could not use the flash otherwise you would have got a pic of the window , I tried it.

However you could actually take the dogs out for a walk in this and in a months time it will be even lighter even earlier. Last year I walked home at 1.30 am and it was like 6pm in the evening.

This is what weather we have today , this was taken at 9.30 this morning after I had taken the girls around the Loch for their walk.

So again our view and yes I know although I have days of feeling rotten and homesick. I would never have a view like this ( could not afford it on the mainland of United Kingdom ). It is amazing on days like this when there is NO WIND . Ahhhhh no wind or rain or snow for that matter , bliss.

My Snood

So this is my snood I think that's what the talented Angelia Laurie calls it, she is a friend on the Island that makes these beanies & snoody type things, 4 years she has being doing her course . I have never suited hats having curly hair it always looked awful. When I saw Angelia Laurie with her hat and her curly red hair she convinced me to come and have a try. So I did and I still was not sure but I still bought one as they were that Lushish I had to have one, then after a good few months I put it on to go shopping and was hooked, love it plus I don't have flat hair afterwards I can get away with it and it keeps my head warm . Plus if I am having a bad frizz day I know I can stick this on to go out. We went to the pics to see Sherlock Holmes & I had my first restaurant curry since last August , very nice if not rushed as we had a ferry to catch . The joys of Island living.

Although I did wake up with a banging headache this morning and was wondering because I have not had takeaways or restaurant foods for that long and have detoxed my body from that enjoyment weather it affected my body in that way. I hope not otherwise that will be another pleasure gone. Bloody Hell.
