Earrings made from beads
Minktasic Earrings made on stirling silver ear wires and swarovski crystals .
New Colours to Play with
Nice for a wedding . If I had one to go to that is. I made these from Pearl Beige Reichenbach
Below is CIM Mink made with silver & ivory stringer around the middle. A nice Autumn colour considering the drop in the temperature again.
This is the Pearl Beige again with Kaz's Kiwi Frit blend. I was surprised at how the frit turned out the next day because I tend to over heat frit and was worried that I had done the same yet again. However not on this occasion.
Below are two types of glass , but on seeing the finished product I cannot see the difference. The colours used here were CIM Grape Ape & CIM Poi . Can you see the difference ?
I found I actually thought they were very feminine and liked them alot.

A few hours in
Some new colours arrived this week but I have not had the time to play properly , social life is getting in the way . Not that I mind. So I played with a colour called Mink and made these beads smaller so that as earrings they are nice and light. I have done plain and will be doing some with silver and ivory around the middle this week sometime, that is of course if I do not forget.
That Touch Of Mink Earrings

Kiwi Sepia Earrings
These are a transparent colour green that I had left lying around so I made them up to these
These beads are made up with transparent blue and light baby blue polkas . I have made this into a bracelet for those days when I am feeling blue.

They Won
It was tournament day today with my son in the footy team again. They were on home turf so it really counted that they play well today. And the rain stayed away , it was 5 degrees and very windy . The day started at 10am and finished at 3.30pm but the lads held it together and WON !!!!!! They went and ruddy won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beads glorious beads
The first bracelet below is made with CIM Unique Sepia. Made with white polkas melted in very slowly where they are a little raised to give that textured look.
This is yesterdays batch a mixture of Blues and Greens . Along with this posh glass that I cannot seem to use to its effect yet.
And here it is , my PANTS attempt at Kalypso which is a Double Helix 104 Glass . It can give you amazing coloured effects if you use it right. Well I am not and it is way too expensive to ruin. So will wait on that glass. As Trudi from Glittering Prize said. I may have heated the snot out of it.
I have also made another Green Bracelet with a friend in mind to whom it shall go to.

Yes it is true
If you have seen the weather reports today and they say really strong winds FAR NORTH EAST !!! Well yes it is true . I was awake most of the night because of the gale force winds. The hens are traumatised , the birds are taking shelter in our garden waiting until this weather passes.
We are off out tonight my son and I for Fish n Chips at the local boating club . I shall not bother with the hair tonight , make up or nice clothes . Instead wellies , wets and tied up hair are in order tonight.
GALE FORCE WINDS is an understatement .
So no walkies for the mutts today instead a day of making beads I shall put them on with the names of the glass I used when they come out of the kiln. A good productive day that calms the anxiety I feel in my belly at the moment . It seems to melt the feelings away whilst I am melting Glass I am able just to relax and only think about getting that perfect bead.

1950's colour & Autumn is on its way
I can feel the change in the temp in the mornings , you know Autumn is just round the corner.
So I have started thinking about a change in colour ready for those Winter nights . This is the first colour that came to mind , a nice deep emerald green colour . I tried a red but it came out yellow so will have to give another glass colour a go with that.
Then as I love this pearl pink so much at the moment ( could even paint the house in it ) . I decided to team it with Thai Orchid ( Purple ) and black.

Requested by people
Ok so the pink set of 2 earrings and a bracelet are what a friend requested for me to make for her holidays. I changed the really pale pink to the raspberry colour instead so it suited better. Brought life into the bracelet , nice and warm.

I just love this Garnet Red glass , if you flash in and out of the flame at the end it comes out looking like these below. If you just leave it then it comes out a deep warm red. So I made these for my cousin, hope she likes.
Then I made a bracelet for my cousins daughter for her sweet 16th today. Although it is belated as I only just posted it today I hope she likes and enjoys

And now for some more
I had a try of some new colours yesterday Reichenbach Pink Lady with Ivory. I must say I am taken with this pink. Someone has asked me to make up a bracelet and earrings in this colour.
Then the Effetre Olive Green with Ivory as a lentil and spacer beads . Again not bad and very happy with the way the beads have turned out.
We then had CIM Cornflower Blue with Lilac Polkas I also made some plain and some bumpy to go with this set. A really nice glass that melts quickly and forms great.
If you have a look on hubby's site today you shall see some Basking Sharks that were around the Isle. www.at2h.blogspot.com . I saw a fin then lost interest , the hubby went following to see if he could get better pictures so I am sure you will see later on his site.I do think each to their our when concerning hobbies we ask the basic questions and that is all that is needed just to show a mere interest is better than nothing at all. I love my beads he Ja Adores his wildlife ( Birds ) .

Another a new bead
What do you think of these Olives ??
This was Olive Green Glass Coe 104 type. green although I do not tend to wear it that much I find I am drawn to the colour more and more, Blues were always my favourite colour but that seems to be changing as I get older.
My sister is also after another bracelet, So I have started with these as she wanted similar design to the one I had already sent. I just have to make more of the same in the next few days. We are also talking about pink and black but I will make a few up first and see what I think.

I know I have not made anything in a while , I have lost my jewellery mojo and have not had the heart to bead these past few weeks. Well I got back on that horse today and the relief once I had melt that first bit of glass was amazing. I felt a sense of peace.
I have made nuggets or at least given them a try so we shall see what Pinkie delivers tomorrow weather they are worth putting a photo on or not. I thought I would be at beginners stage again with the beading but it was actually like ridding a bike once you know how you never forget , you might be a bit wobbly to start with but a bit of practice and away you go . Big smiles and a very happy bunny tonight.
P.S . I went for a job interview a few weeks ago . I found out this week I got the job......
